Backside Five was founded by Darren Smegal and Joseph Rizzo on the simple vision of producing premium apparel focusing on eco-friendly platforms. As a lifestyle company, we strive to bring high quality and unique designs to the core market that appreciates fresh and fashionable apparel.  We provide a premium brand focused on the nightlife environment with its roots stemming from art, music, and the action sports themselves. 

The Backside Five team is extremely passionate about all the action sports that have given us so much over the years including snowboarding, skateboarding, and wakeboarding, to name a few. In addition, we’re stoked to have the opportunity to give back to the action sports community through associations and sponsorships.

A minimum of 1% of our net profit is donated to each of the following charities: Action Sports Association, Athlete Recovery Fund, Rob Dyrdek Foundation, and Stoked.org.

Backside Five is based out of Houston, TX, with a network of members spanning across North and South America.  Our shirts are strictly manufactured in Canada and the United States and our apparel is available online and in select specialty shops.
